Observing traffic signs along the construction site and closing the currently operating bypass are among the measures recommended by the Minister of Public Works during an evaluation meeting for the Dschang Cliff crossing development Works on May 22, 2025.*
The consultation, which took place in the presence of some MINTP officials and via videoconference for project operational staff, enabled the Minister of Public Works to establish specific measures to ensure the safety of users, as well as that of the contractor and the Control Mission. This work, entrusted to the China First Highway Engineering Corporation (CFHEC), under the technical supervision of the ECTA BTP Technical Design Office, took place in an unstable physical and geotechnical environment. The consultation also provided an opportunity for the MINTP to clarify that the bypass currently in operation will be closed to all traffic. This closure will allow technical operations to be accelerated under optimal conditions, in order to eliminate the risk of accidents.
