Preparations are ongoing ahead of the start of the rehabilitation of a 30km stretch of road from Ikiliwindi to Butu in Meme/Kupe Muanenguba division of the Southwest region.

The project has been awarded to ETS SAWI.
The situation of the said project as of now is still on foot path, not yet accessible using vehicles. It is for this reason that the Minister of Public Works has given firm instructions for the road to be developed, to better the living standard of the people living in that locality.
In order to better execute the instruction of the state engineer, the divisional delegate of Meme, Azange Emmanuel Ticha, has mobilised a team for the road project .
The road is currently inaccessible, covered with grass and trees.
To access the road even with the uses of motor bikes is very difficult.
The technical team was unable to identify relevant details on the site.
The contractor is requested to carry out general opening of the road from PK0 to PK30+00 and make it accessible, so that the project team can come in and do the take-off quantities.
The contractor had opened the road from Pk 0+000 till Pk 7+400.
Despite all the challenges they encountered on the stretch of road from Ikiliwindi to Matoh Butu, The divisional delegate of Même division encouraged the project team to remain steadfast and stand firm in order to realise these projects.
The two works done in order to facilitate the construction of social infrastructures link to the Kumba-Mamfe Road.
