Only few details left for the Emergency works in the Southwest region to be completed as this have led to the treatment of several points considered as extremely critical ones on this road.
Meanwhile the current weather condition ain’t fair in the Southwest region, the emergency works on the National road N8 is still ongoing. To date, the cleaning of the water way manhole is completed on the section Carrefour Mutengene – Foot of Bolifamba Hill. For the spotted points between Bolifamba and Mile 15, no intervention has been done yet as the spots are not too critical on this section, and works are more concentrated on mile 17, 18-Muea which is spotted as extremely critical points. However at this level, the works done are some how satisfying, and traffic flow is above normal, the response of roadside users are positive and encouraging.
