Striving for a better road network has been the major objective of the sole government engineer, it is for this reason a team of MINT engineers mobilized themselves to the field to examine the level of work done on the field.
The northern entrance into Yaounde is under going a major expansion construction works have intensify and consist of widening the Olembe-Obala road from two side raod way to four side ways. The Arab construction company on the field noted that work is advancing with excavation and earth filling has been done on a good portion of the project. It should be noted that this project also include the construction of the Yaounde bypass and it's cofinanced by Cameroon and the African Development Bank for Africa to the tune of 27 billion CFA France.
The project is 22km long and all it's financing is available made from the economy from the road construction of Bachenga-Ntui-Yoko-Lena projects, as of now the right of way is available ready for movement thanks to the economy mechanism put in place to generate funds that was realized in the financing of the Central Africa Development Bank. Moreover, this left over funds realised from the above road construction project, plays a pivotal role for construction of the additional road side on the Northern entrance into Yaounde and of widening the Olembe-Obala stretch.
Going through the mandatory nature of work done on the field, the project owner, Minister Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi expressed satisfactory on what has been done on the field according to the reports he received .
Worth noting is that, more will be achieved on the stretch looking at the economic development and the widening of the road , it will reduce transportation and improve agricultural production even attracts investors.
